“Adopt a Village”
Project Overview
Contract Farming Initiative Inc. is proud to launch the special “Adopt a Village” program. This innovative project aims to transform agriculture in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or the Republic of Congo by providing village cooperatives with the necessary equipment to improve their productivity and autonomy.
Project Objectives
- Enhance Agricultural Productivity: Provide villages with tractors and modern agricultural equipment to increase their production.
- Support Village Cooperatives: Establish structured cooperatives for better management of resources and agricultural activities.
- Create a Multiplier Effect: Use loan repayments to fund equipment acquisition for other villages.
How It Works
- Village Selection:
- Eligible villages are selected based on criteria such as agricultural potential and community organization.
- Equipment Provision:
- Each village or cooperative receives an in-kind loan of $18,000 for the acquisition of a tractor and agricultural equipment provided by our partner, K&F International Ltd. https://www.kfinternational.com.cn/
- Repayment Terms:
- The loan is repayable over two years through the village’s agricultural production.
- Repayments are used to fund equipment for the next village or cooperative, creating a multiplier effect.
- Training and Technical Support:
- Training programs are organized to teach the use and maintenance of the equipment.
- Ongoing technical support is provided to ensure effective use of the resources

- Economic Empowerment: Villages become more autonomous and economically viable through access to agricultural equipment and training.
